Unfortunately, last week's picture puzzle landed with a resounding thud.
Make that a double thud. Twice I ran a photograph of this vent along Quail Avenue in Castro Valley Community Park. Twice it drew not a single guess.
It must have been boring. Or ugly. Or both. Sorry.
