We are excited to announce performances by The Silver Lining this holiday season at Castro Village Shopping Center. They will take place Saturday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. on December 8, 15 and 22.
The Silver Lining is an 8-strong female a cappella group with a goal to raise money for cancer research.
Its members are comprised of a Castro Valley High School senior, Bay Area teachers, business professionals and community theater performers. They have all been touched by cancer in some way. With two cancer survivors in the group, the cause is near and dear to their hearts.
The group has also been a top fundraising team for The American Cancer Society and Castro Valley's Relay for Life during 2011 and 2012.
