Put your food bags out Saturday with non-perishable goods.
Scouting for Food is the nation’s largest single-day food drive. It began as a National service project in 1988. This year marks the 24th. year of this great event.
Every November, thousands of scouts and adult volunteers spend two Saturdays doing a “good turn.”
Last Saturday you should have gotten a door hanger.
Saturday, November 17th is Food Collection Day.
Scouts return to pick up bags filled with donated canned goods which are then distributed to the Alameda and San Francisco Food Banks and other local food pantries.
Your donated food will help feed hungry people in Alameda & San Francisco Counties.
For more information visit the scout site on the project.
