“I like to think of the Authentic Writing workshop as a studio,” says Szabo, “a place where people come to create and explore. You can come to the workshop having no idea what you’ll be writing – just knowing that you want to create something -- and I guarantee that you will go home with pages of fresh material.”

Authentic Writing was founded almost 20 years ago in 1993 by the writer Fred Poole, whom Szabo married in 2001. Together they host weekly workshops in their home in Woodstock, New York as well as in Manhattan and at the Omega Institute each summer.
