From the Hayward Area Historical Society -
Come join the Hayward Area Historical Society Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. for a local bird walk.
The San Francisco Bay is a fabulous winter haven for thousands of shorebirds and waterfowl. Winter migratory birds have arrived from up north in Alaska, and should be found in abundance in both the mud flats that have tidal flow and the flooded salt ponds.
Dress warmly, wear good walking shoes, and bring binoculars if you have a pair. No dogs are allowed on this excursion.
Registration is required. The meeting location for the walk will be provided after you register. To reserve your spot, call 510-581-0223.
