Lane Closures on Castro Valley Boulevard Through End of Year

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes as roadway and sidewalk improvements begin on Castro Valley Boulevard.

There will be intermittent lane closures along Castro Valley Boulevard for the remainder of 2013 as the Alameda County Public Works Agency proceeds with roadway and sidewalk improvements. 

The improvements between Lake Chabot Road and Anita Avenue will also include the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Castro Valley Boulevard and Wisteria Street.

During construction one lane of traffic will be closed in each direction, between approximately 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.  Construction of the roadway improvements will continue through the remainder of this calendar year.

During the lane closures, traffic will be subject to delays.  Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.  If travelling through the construction area is necessary, please exercise caution and adhere to all traffic regulations.
