From the Castro Valley Mothers' Club -
Each year the Castro Valley Mothers’ Club works together with the East Bay Community Law Center to collect coats and jackets for those who are in need of warmth in the winter. Last year the club collected and distributed over 400 coats.
Donations of new or gently used coats and jackets in all sizes (but especially in children’s sizes) are sought from members of the Castro Valley and wider community.
If you have any outgrown or outdated coats in the back of your closets, please consider donating them to the CVMC One Warm Coat Drive. Every coat that is collected will be distributed directly to a family that needs it most.
Donating your coats could not be easier. There are several locations where collection bins will be set up in and around the Castro Valley area. A collection bin will even be set up in Redwood City, should you be on the Peninsula. Other bins are in Hayward, San Leandro and Dublin.
The collection bins are at the following locations through December 12:
Starbucks in the Castro Valley Village Shopping Center (20663 Rustic Drive, Castro Valley)
Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church (22577 Bayview Avenue, Hayward).
Saint James Christian Preschool (993 Estudillo Ave, San Leandro).
Vannoy Elementary School (through Dec 7 only!) (5100 Vannoy Ave, Castro Valley).
Castro Valley Elementary School (20185 San Miguel Ave., Castro Valley).
Bright Horizons Preschool in Dublin (7035 Dublin Boulevard, Dublin).
Bright Horizons Preschool in Redwood City (403 Winslow Street, Redwood City).
