Boulevard Decorations Closer To Completion

Patch reader Nathan Parks wanted to know when the more decorative elements of the Castro Valley Boulevard Streetscape program would be completed so he asked around.

He learned that he granite end-caps were installed this week (see photos). Meanwhile, still to come:

• The mosaic art had to be ordered from back east and should be here by month's end;
• That mosaic art is scheduled to be installed by mid-to-late February.
• During this time frame the decorative towers are supposed to be erected on Safeway's Redwood Road perimeter.
• The sidewalk grates are going to be installed by the time the mosaic bench tops go in.
