encourages CVSan residents and businesses to mark their calendars for Saturday, August 11, 2012 to take part in CVSan’s Recycle and Compost Give-Away Day.
The free, six-hour event will be held in the lower parking lot at from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., by CVSan and Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. (WMAC).
The following materials will be accepted and properly recycled or disposed of:
- Pharmaceuticals – Prescription and over-the-counter (residents only).
- Household Paint – Latex (water-based) paint only – up to 10 gallons.
- Universal Waste – Electronics (TV, cell phone, computer), household (dry cell) batteries and fluorescent light bulbs.
The following will be distributed:
- Bagged Compost – Three 1-cubic foot bags per household or business. Supplies are limited and will be distributed first come first served. Vehicle loading assistance is available.
The event is open to CVSan residents and businesses only.
