If you wish you were more proficient using Microsoft Office but just don't have the energy or inclination to attend a lengthy formal class, the Castro Valley Adult School has a solution for you.
It now offers a home-learning class that will begin in December 18 and run through April 7.
In the class you will learn about MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Access.
You will attend an initial orientation with an instructor, complete course work at home and then e-mail your completed assignments to your teacher. The instructor will meet with students 30 minutes each week or bi-weekly to provide assistance. Appointments are scheduled at mutually convenient times.
The class is designed for independent adult learners who are highly motivated.
Students will create a portfolio of completed assignments to demonstrate their competency and will be eligible to earn a Microsoft Application Certificate.
