In response to the news that Banchero's has closed as of June 4, 2012 ()
As a local small business owner (www.rtfabrication.com), mother of 2 and loyal dedicated 'fan' of this "one of a kind family restaurant" (in particular their Scalone) - I was just 'crushed' to learn Banchero's closed it's doors. As a working Mom I can't tell you how many times Banchero's has 'saved dinner' via their 'call in- take out' service - and - I personally credit their soup as 'saving my husbands life' a few years ago as he struggled w/ pnuemonia a few years back. <wink>
Now we all completely understand Mr. Banchero's 'want' to retire...and we all know the economy is in the tank - but I can't help but wonder (as self proclaimed marketing guru -ha) is this REALLY the end? With a little help from his 'friends' (FB?) could we turn this around?
Upon hearing the news via the CV Patch - FB immediatly started 'blowing up' with the likes of 'OH NO!!" and then some. This got me to thinking. "Let's tell him".
If you love BANCHEROS - join us in our campaign to let Mr. Banchero know 'we love our SCALONE - soup - pasta - and everything else on the menu!!"
Share your memories and let's see if we can talk him out of this!! If we can't then the alternative will have to be a support group for all of us in Scalone withdrawl! <wink>
All in good fun. Please be respectful and polite in your posts.
