Whether from stress, confusion, anger, love, joking, or just your average hangover, we've all had that horrific moments when we wished with all of our being that our tongues had been cut off before opening our mouths.
You've probably already jumped out of my story and into your own horrific or hilarious memory. So I'll give you a moment to regain focus.

While I cannot erase the moment for you, I can convince you that you are not alone. We have all had someone stare at us with that piercing, "WHAT did you say?" look.
CASTRO VALLEY, CA – An extremely polite and humble family friend was struggling to learn English. He had repeatedly been told by many of his peers that he would not get better without practice. Although he was a shy man, he made a plan to muster up the courage to speak to the girl that served him his coffee at the local café.
Overwhelmingly nervous but determined, he walked into the café the following morning with a large grin, ready to practice his English. He ordered his coffee as usual: Black, no sugar, nor cream.
He knew he would have his chance in just a few moments and there was no way he was going to blow it! As she did every morning, the nice girl handed him his coffee and said, "Have a nice day!"
Looking the girl right in the eyes, loudly and confidently he responded, F… You!
Since then, his English skills have improved to the point that few people notice that English is not his first language. However, to this day, he still refuses to say thank you to anyone. But he always says, "Gracias!"
