Poll: Cell Phone Tower Off Lake Chabot Road — Obscene Eyesore or Humorous 'Tree'

What are your thoughts of the cellular phone antenna recently placed at the Community Center Park on Lake Chabot Road?

It has made recent headlines in the Castro Valley Forum and was even featured as the latest find of a local weekly scavenger hunting group.

Disguised as an Italian cypress tree, the T-Mobile and AT&T cell phone tower that stands tall at the on Lake Chabot Road is currently the talk of the town.

According to the Forum's article, a few complaints have been registered about the tower to the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD) by parents of the neighboring and other disapproving residents. To them, the tower sticks out like a sore green thumb.
